Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer (CCMS) Exam Prep Course: Fall 2024

• This course is open to CCMS Candidates who are already enrolled in the CCMS program and have qualified for the designation, with 100 or more points. Any Candidates with 90 or more points may enroll in the prep course and earn 10 CCMS points upon completion of this training.
• CCMS Designation applications must be submitted and qualifications must be completed by Monday, September 16, 2024 to ensure you are eligible to take the prep course.

The purpose and goal of the Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer (CCMS) online, instructor guided prep course is to help candidates prepare for the four-hour CCMS designation exam.

The prep course is taught online by current CCMS designees where candidates have the opportunity to interact with the instructors and other candidates. Candidates will be provided with prep course materials, including a written overview of each exam content area, and a ten question practice test for each session. At the end of the course candidates will have access to two multiple choice practice exams.

The six content areas of the exam reviewed during the prep course are listed below. Each weekly session is 90 minutes in duration. However, the last session will be two hours long to include a review of exam logistics.

General CCMS Designation Testing Information:

The multiple-choice designation exam is comprehensive and draws upon work experience. The prep course does not teach the exam but serves as a refresher for the six content areas. Other exam details include:

• This is a 4-hour timed and proctored exam with 200 multiple choice questions.
• Administered online in the candidate’s office (In-person).
• Virtually proctored testing is also available for remote employees.
• A grade of 75% or better is needed to successfully complete the exam.
• A candidate has three attempts to successfully complete the exam.
• Candidates who successfully complete the multiple-choice exam are eligible to progress to the oral exam.
• The oral exam is typically held in person at MBA’s Commercial/Multifamily Finance Servicing and Technology Conference each May and primarily focuses on industry issues impacting servicing.
• Candidates will be provided current MBA Industry Briefs to study from.
• The oral exam may also include general servicing-related information. Virtual testing is possible for anyone not able to travel to the conference.
