MISMO Introduces Updates to the eModification Reference Flyer
WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 17, 2022) – MISMO®, the real estate finance industry's standards organization, today announced an updated version of the eModification Reference Flyer, an industry resource designed to help servicers and other mortgage organizations easily navigate the investor requirements for electronically- signed loan modification agreements (eModifications).
"The MISMO eModification Reference Flyer helps provide clarity around investor requirements and reduces obstacles for using eModifications, resulting in fewer errors, automated validations, improved borrower experience, and increased efficiency,” said Seth Appleton, President of MISMO. “The flyer is part of MISMO’s ongoing mission to enhance efficiency throughout the mortgage industry.”
MISMO’s updates address changes announced in APM 21-07: eSignatures and Remote Online Notarization guidance by Ginnie Mae in late 2021, which leverage MISMO standards.
