Certification and designation programs are currently available in residential underwriting, loan origination and servicing, as well as in commercial servicing and more. MBA Education is also the exclusive provider of the Certified Mortgage Banker® (CMB®) Designation, which is the industry standard in professional success.

The Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB):
Residential CMB, Commercial CMB, Executive CMB and Master CMB

The Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP)
This Specialist Designation recognizes the achievements of individuals in the real estate finance industry for their pursuit of educational excellence, high ethical standards, and commitment to professionalism after their completion of each facet of the the School of Mortgage Banking curriculum.
The Specialist Designations:
Several of our certificate and designation programs are compiled of three levels, including an achievement certificate, professional certificate and ultimately a specialist designation. These levels must be completed consecutively. Each level of these programs represents at least 50 hours of learning and is completed through a comprehensive exam. Some professionals and organizations choose to earn only the first levels of these programs. Learn more.
Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU)
The three-part CRU curriculum establishes the standard for professional excellence and training in residential mortgage loan underwriting. The first two parts, Basic and Intermediate, lay a foundation for the final category: the Advanced Certified Residential Underwriter designation.
Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer (CMS)
Gain a thorough understanding of commercial real estate and mortgage fundamentals, including but not limited to: lending, underwriting, closing, servicing, asset management, valuation default management, legal and regulatory requirements and market behaviors.
Residential Certified Mortgage Servicer (CMS)
This program is built on a specialist track system where students can concentrate in the area of servicing most applicable to their day-to-day work or career goals. The three areas of default administration, loan administration or financial controls and investor administration.
Chartered Realty Investor (CRI)
This is the only designation that brings together all aspects of the commercial real estate finance, investment and advisory industries. Earning the CRI designation distinguishes you as a leader in your industry, and signifies your commitment to professional excellence and ethical conduct.
The Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP)
The Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP) Designation recognizes the achievements of individuals in the real estate finance industry for their commitment to having a compliant workplace. The certification framework currently includes level I*, and is perfect for professionals who want to distinguish themselves from their peers.
*Levels two and three are in development.
The pyramid below shows the progression through MBA Education's designation and certificate programs. Follow the pyramid from bottom to top as professionals build a foundation of knowledge and then add to it. Not all professionals follow the path presented below. Many start at different levels, even starting at the CMB, depending on their experience.
