About the Event

Underwriting Office and Valuation is designed to help participants understand the basic concepts of underwriting an office building. The course reviews the various types of office, types of lease structures and important lease clauses. The course also reviews how income and expenses are derived, how important performance ratios are calculated, and how office is valued. The course concludes with a discussion of common office lending risks and risk mitigants. Participants have the opportunity to review a sample office lease and prepare a lease abstract, develop a pro forma for a sample property, determine the value of a property using yield capitalization, and analyze, evaluate, and recommend the refinance of an office building to a lender.
